Matthew Gammans

Matthew Gammans is an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Policy in the Department of Agribusiness and Applied Economics at North Dakota State University. He is also the Assistant Director of the Center for Agricultural Policy and Trade Studies. His research explores the role of policy in shaping agricultural production decisions. His current work examines the effects of agricultural policy on conservation practice adoption, the acreage response of cropping systems to commodity prices, and the impact of weather shocks on agricultural yields and exports. Before joining NDSU, Matthew worked at Isometric, a carbon removal registry, leading projects related to bioenergy. Prior to that, Matthew worked as an assistant professor and Extension economist at Michigan State University.
